Once their refugee claim was accepted and they became Permanent Residents, Samual and Yohana started their own painting company: Samyoh Honcan Painting Ltd.     After fleeing Afghanistan, this anonymous refugee claimant found himself in Canada. In order to protect his identity and still bring his story to life, we focused the visuals on the sheer anxiety and angst in his body language. The overall goal was to shed light on the challenges that refugees face when living in Canada as well as highlight the value that refugees and newcomers bring to Canadian society.
