This short documentary was created for The Affiliation of Multicultural Societies and Service Agencies of British Columbia (AMSSA) in collaboration with Indigenous leaders, Elder Glida Morgan, from Tla’amin Nation, Elder Mary Point, a member of the Musqueam Indian Band, and Norm Leech, from the T’it’q’et community of the St’at’imc nation. The story follows Adriana Contreras, a graphic artist and recorder as she uses her artwork to document conversations with Indigenous leaders about trauma, truth and decolonization and the Canadian experience for Newcomers.
